2/17 Update Bunks In

The bunks are in • Seth comes home in two weeks • We have our first sponsorship pitch!

Corey and Tyler have been hard at work in the bus, despite a serious clutch of cold that has dumped feet of snow on the North East over the last few months. We have a toasty fire on most days that keeps it rather pleasant in the bus (though we do smell like we’ve been at a campfire after work). The bunks are in and are lacking only a top sheet of plywood (photo included), and we’re starting to frame the front of the bus this coming weekend. Corey made a pretty crazy 3D rendering of how we have it set up, and we threw in a photo of that for you to enjoy. If you ever want to have some serious 3D fun, check out Google SketchUp.

In other news, Seth comes home in just two weeks, and we couldn’t be more excited. While this is a reality check that there is loads to do in that short amount of time, it will allow us to move forward on shooting a pilot/sizzler to prepare for our first sponsor pitches. On that note, we have our first sponsor pitch coming up just a few days before to a Maine company and we couldn’t be more excited about their enthusiasm. It is really exciting to see an awesome company believe in what we’re doing, and are hoping for the best!

Unfortunately, in the last month it has also become clear that our second Dunham (Silas) will not be joining us for the entire summer. Within the last two weeks, he has been promoted in his work, and starting soon will be running the show at SumoSkinny.com (a company that he founded with friends from Suffolk University). He will be able to join us for a month or so (which we are very much looking forward to), but cannot commit the entire summer towards Love, the Bus, and abandon his partners at SumoSkinny. Congratulations to Silas, and we’ll miss you!

The weather seems to be on an upswing here in Maine nearing the middle of February, and we’re optimistic that the next few weeks will be full of major additions to the bus, and securing some meetings at companies nationwide to sponsor our trip. If you have any connections…please be in touch!

Wishing everyone the best on this sunny Thursday here in Maine, and hope to see you soon!

Love,

The Bus.

Help Fund An Adventure For Good

Well folks, we are on the road! Thanks to over 200 individual and business supporters we have a beautiful bus, some functional production equipment, and enough money to get across the country on ramen, waste vegetable oil, and home-cooked meals whenever they present themselves. We can not appreciate those contributors enough: thanks to everyone who has given so far we are on the adventure of a lifetime and spreading optimism across the nation. We desperately need money for emergency situations (our bus has already broken down once), to contribute to causes across the country (we have a little...we would like a lot), and to make our trip that much healthier (greens are expensive). So check out the site, and contribute if you would like to support three young men on an Adventure for Good.
