Lincolnville Natives Kick Off Cross-Country Project

Watch the video here.

Lincolnville – This neon green bus is making its way from Maine to California. On board are three Lincolnville natives who had an idea they wanted to take on the road.

“We’re taking this big green monster and we’re going around the country and we’re basically finding and trying to help youth causes wherever we go,” said Seth Brown.

The project is called Love, the Bus and it was created by Seth Brown, Tyler Dunham and Corey McLean. They’re lifelong friends who wanted to take an adventure but do something good along the way. So they fundraised, bought an old school bus, and transformed the interior so they could drive it cross-country.

“We’ve got some really cool ideas in there and it’s going to be a really comfortable home for us,” said Corey McLean.

The plan is to travel around America finding local community groups to help out. Along the way they’ll be documenting their journey and the local groups they discover in videos on their website.

“People back home or wherever will be able to watch us go across country, share in our journey and share these stories from across the country,” said Tyler Dunham.

But they need your help. They’ll be asking their viewers to suggest people and places for them to check out along the way. They know they’ll end up in Los Angeles but the other bus stops are to be determined.

“It’s going to be completely up in the air and open for viewers to control and that’s kind of how we wanted it to be,” said Brown.

After months of planning, the project is ready to kick off. And while it was an adventure to fix up the bus and put this project together, their real adventure is about to begin when Love, the Bus hits the road.

Help Fund An Adventure For Good

Well folks, we are on the road! Thanks to over 200 individual and business supporters we have a beautiful bus, some functional production equipment, and enough money to get across the country on ramen, waste vegetable oil, and home-cooked meals whenever they present themselves. We can not appreciate those contributors enough: thanks to everyone who has given so far we are on the adventure of a lifetime and spreading optimism across the nation. We desperately need money for emergency situations (our bus has already broken down once), to contribute to causes across the country (we have a little...we would like a lot), and to make our trip that much healthier (greens are expensive). So check out the site, and contribute if you would like to support three young men on an Adventure for Good.
